Since opening in 2008, Artisan Restaurant has firmly established itself as a favourite for diners throughout Lanarkshire and further afield.
Situated on Main Street, Wishaw, the restaurant is split over two levels, with a lively atmosphere through the day and a relaxing environment in the evening, making it ideal of both family meals out and romantic meals.
The menus expertly combine traditional ingredients with a personal twist from Chef and Proprietor Derek Mather. The menus are continually evolving, but you can expect world famous Stornoway black pudding, Lanark haggis and traditional Scottish staples such as mince and tatties. All dishes are freshly cooked to order using produce from local suppliers.
Our whisky collection has attracted buffs around Scotland and also around the world. All members of staff within the restaurant have been trained on how to properly and safely serve alcohol to customers as with any other premises who offer alcohol, but in Artisan the waiting staff have also had a little bit of extra training, this being that they are all trained as Whisky Ambassadors. Artisan was actually the first premises in the UK for all staff to be fully trained Whisky Ambassadors. With this qualification the waitresses are able to recommend and educate customers on whiskies, which adds to the already fantastic customer service.
